Layer 9 Data Centers is a data center solutions provider with over 50 years of experience in Mexico and the U.S. With expertise in commercial real estate, data center portfolio management, and solution delivery for some of the largest hyperscale and wholesale data center operators including DuPont Fabros, Digital Realty Trust, Equinix, and Microsoft, the team at Layer 9 Data Centers is proven and trusted.
Prior to Layer 9, Michael held various leadership roles for Digital Realty and DuPont Fabros Technology, served in portfolio management at Equity Office Properties and worked within the investment banks at JP Morgan and Mitsubishi Tokyo Financial Group.
Alejandro applies his background in engineering, construction, operations, product management, and strategic planning and budgeting to consistently deliver value to customers. Prior to Layer 9, Alejandro served as Executive Vice President of LBS Technologies, Director at Power Distribution Inc., Manager at Midtronics and Manager at VYCON
Following his work in the Ministry of Energy, José served as CFO at the National Center for Energy Control (CENACE), where he spearheaded the implementation of financial systems for the Wholesale Electricity Market. This included overseeing the clearing house for power long-term auctions and developing a risk management system. Currently, José serves as the CEO of Enegence, a regulatory and strategic consulting company that also provides software solutions for Wholesale Electricity Market participants and engages in trading operations.
José holds a master's degree in management from Stanford University and a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de las Americas in Puebla, Mexico.
Prior to retirement, Mr. Jepson was a Managing Partner for CPG Beyond, LLC; a national service provider to the data center sector headquartered in Ashburn, Virginia. During his 8-year tenure at CPG , Gerry was responsible for developing a National Service organization that specialized in Facility Operations, HVAC Maintenance, Switchgear Maintenance, QA/QC Services, Commissioning and Battery Service programs. Under Mr. Jepson’s leadership, CPG grew revenues from $5M in 2014 to $200M in 2020; and much of that growth was focused on driving hyperscale solutions to many of today’s largest CSP’s and Colocation Providers globally.
Prior to joining CPG , Mr. Jepson served at Total Site Solutions (TSS) where he oversaw the day-to-day sales and operations of all TSS’s Mission Critical Services. Earlier in his career, Gerry held leadership roles for Lee Technologies as the SVP of Sales and Operations. Mr. Jepson was responsible for building the Lee Technologies service team from the first employee where his stewardship led to the placement of many executives in the mission critical sector. He is considered by his peers as a thought leader in the mission critical space.
Currently, Altomare is President of Network Environments, a firm that designs and builds customized prefabricated data center solutions to serve hyperscale operators, cloud, mobile compute, edge, and colocation providers worldwide.
His experience in both greenfield land development and technical construction provides Altomare with the right mix of industry expertise to guide intelligent business strategies for the Layer 9 team.
Mr. Davis was formerly the Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President for DuPont Fabros Technology, Inc., (DFT); where he was responsible for the design and management of DFT’s portfolio of Data Centers. During his time at DFT, Scott and his team pioneered several new innovations to data center design, including medium voltage (MV) Isolated-Parallel UPS systems, MV oil-filled PDU’s, together with several cooling innovations that achieved real world PUE’s of 1.15.
Prior to joining DFT, Mr. Davis served for eight years at AOL where he oversaw the day-to-day operations of all of AOL's domestic and international data centers. Earlier in his career, Scott worked for several consulting engineering firms that specialized in data center design and construction, including CCG Facilities Integration. Mr. Davis earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland.

The company serves a wide range of customers including Commercial Construction, Industrial, Data Centers, Medical, Government, and Financial Services. and Generators. Awarded company of the year in Mexico by General Electric and by ABB partners several times through its history.
LBS participated in building, designing, and delivering critical power solutions for the BBVA Data Center in Mexico City, a Tier IV Gold facility, and the largest data center in Latin America in 2016.
Mr. Limon holds an Industrial Engineering degree from Instituto Tecnologico De Estudios Superiores De Monterrey.
